A guide for families

Moving a parent abroad, calmly and with confidence

It's one of the biggest decisions a family makes. This is a gentle, honest, step-by-step guide to how it works — and how we take the worry off your shoulders at every stage.

Six gentle steps

From first thought to settled and happy

No pressure, no long contracts — one calm step at a time.

1

Talk together

Start gently, as a family. What would a good day look like? What matters most — company, sunshine, less worry about cost? There is no rush and no commitment.

2

A free call with us

Tell us about your parent — their health, mobility, likes and worries. We answer every question honestly, including whether GrandyGo is the right fit.

3

Try a month first

Most families start with a trial month. Your parent reserves with a £50 deposit, flies out, and simply sees how it feels — no long contract.

4

We handle the paperwork

If they decide to stay, we guide you through a longer-stay residence permit and manage the details with you — flights, transfers and anything that reassures the family.

5

Settling in

A warm airport welcome, a private apartment, a wellbeing assessment and three personal plans. By day two, the programme begins.

6

Staying connected

Weekly photos, easy video calls and a team who keep you in the loop — so you can relax, knowing they are safe, busy and happy.

The worries, answered honestly

What families ask us most

I feel guilty about moving my parent abroad. Is that normal?
Completely normal — it shows how much you care. Many families feel it, then describe relief once they see a parent with sunshine, friends, good food and proper support, and themselves no longer lying awake worrying. It is a positive choice, not giving up.
How do I know they'll be safe so far away?
There is a qualified nurse and daily wellbeing checks, a doctor on call, accredited hospitals nearby, safeguarding and a falls-prevention plan — all benchmarked to UK best practice. And you hear from the team regularly, with photos and video calls.
What if it doesn't work out?
That is exactly why we suggest a trial month with only a £50 deposit and no long contract. If it is not right, nothing is lost — and if needs ever change, we tell you honestly and help you plan next steps.
Won't the distance make visits hard?
Antalya has direct flights from across the UK and Northern Europe, and it is a place families genuinely enjoy visiting — sun, sea and time together, rather than a difficult trip to a care home.
Is it really affordable?
Yes. All-inclusive from £995 for four weeks — roughly a quarter of a typical UK care home — so the sums often work in the family's favour too.
We're here for the whole family
